Operations Manager - Business Development
It is Mining & Precious metals Industry. It’s a Gold mine development Project in Tajikistan. We completed geological exploration/ drilling program, finished construction of a 120 km. road, provided communication mobile & internet, high voltage power lines with length of 73 km. were constructed, two Electrical Substations were renovated & upgraded, a construction of reducing Electrical Substation 110 kV/ 10 kV was finished, the construction of the mine itself and necessary industrial infrastructure is done too. You can see some info at www.kryso.com re the Project. The construction site is located 110 km from Dushanbe, capital of the Tajikistan. The total personnel currently is 1200 regular staff. When the 2nd phase of production starts in Oct - Nov 2020 y. the preplanned staff will be 1700 – 2000 people. The total Capital Investments Budget is 356 mln. USD. This is a Project Scope. My duties included: translations of different geological, geological exploration, blue prints, Project designs and engineering geological documents, drilling projects timelines, construction drawings and cost estimates, geological reports; planning and organization of the material base (three Service Stations), verification of engineering specifications of the project, work with the Expertise Body of the Republic of Tajikistan on the Project (construction approvals in accordance with SNIP and GOST norms), execution project management for the forming and training of the Tech. Crew staff, budgeting and cost control, the coordination of required engineering components in accordance with the final specs and requirements, consulting on heavy duty machines supply and fleet operational management, coordination of construction and technical activities of a Prime Contractor of the Construction and a Contractor of the power lines (110 kV), involvement/ mobilization and control of contractors works, consulting of the Administration of Kryso Management (London, UK) and HQ in PRC (Beijing city) re construction specifics in the Central Asia, ensuring compliance with the terms of the Project and work schedules, local contractors selection / conducting of due diligence, work and interaction with Government Bodies in Tajikistan, optimizing of administrative and business processes, providing support in purchasing and accounting of inventory, providing economical security measures to keep the Project within the preplanned Budget Scope. It is Automotive Industry & Retail Areas Two projects for putting into operation of new business systems, “start up” projects. The Corporation is specializing on retail/ wholesales of Aftermarket Spare Parts and Tires for over 250 – 270 different Western and Asiatic Car Brands, all years from 1975 to 2011. It supplies tires as well from Top 10 main worldwide suppliers including brands GoodYear, Michelin, Hankook, Dunlop, GeneralTire, Continental, Goodrich, Uniroyal. Over 3500 different tires from Top Brands! 80 - 85% of selling goods are manufactured in China, India, South America, US and Canada. Duties included: project records management of 4 technical centers, learning of new business systems of spare parts and service sales management, to implement them at 4 CanTire locations, to train 20 sales people and teach them to work with the systems effectively, to open work orders, to assign job to a specific mechanic, to check results of service works completion and spent service hours, to close the work orders and pass them for payment, to accept spare parts orders and to a) locate them at nearest CanTire network stock hub, b) to place the order and process delivery to customers ASAP(Lead times: from 45 minutes up to 10-12 hours). The systems have 4 Expert Automotive Data Knowledge Bases, which specify correct parts/ tires and provide proper service maintenance to customers. I also controlled proper sales processes development, sales facilities replanning and restructuring projects execution, coordinated projects agreed schedules, scope and budgets, customer service functioning on high level, implemented sustainability of the tech. services, improved supply chain management, stock optimization and distribution of received goods in time. Main target was to upgrade and restructure the sales facilities (supermarkets), to implement the new business systems and smoothly integrate them into spare parts/ services sales operations without loss of sales volumes. Although specifically, my duties included above were not limited by the tasks. CanTire performed the implementation of the new business process systems, operational processes optimization and sales numbers increase. I was in charge of 4 locations to get this done. I worked much time with project managers, external engineering consultants, GCs, subcontractors, construction managers, trades and other service providers, and also clients, providing customers support and ensuring sales increase.
